I am instructor at Coleman Medium in Florida, and I teach a course title "FinTech and the Future of Money."I also author a number of blogs about the future of crypto currency, which is hinged to this coming New Economic (R)evolution happening. So my commitment in working with people on the outside and other tech-savvy prisoners to re-purpose and build my online/social media presence is a New direction as well. At the same time, continuing to work to educate those incarcerated here at Coleman medium and other prisons through multimedia Collaboration with NEW MEDIA SCRIBE and the WRITE OR DIE ZINE Project.
Since my conviction for carjacking 7 years ago I`ve been fighting to prove my innocence of this crime. In the meantime though I`ve been doing lots of studying law, history, economics, technology and a host of other educational topics to satisfy my thirst for knowledge, and to also stimulate my mind. I`m mostly self-taught, and so I have a knack for doing research, and I strongly believe in problem-solving. I also believe the solution to any problem is out there if you have a desire to find it.
First, detach your mind from thinking that the “money” value aspect of Bitcoin is its most important feature. I assure its not. Money is nowhere near the most important aspect of Bitcoin (you will soon learn) but the fact that Bitcoin continues to defy the laws of economics and currency markets is surely a big bonus feature. And once you`ve detached your mind from staring at the “price” per se, you will be able to see the true value that Bitcoin brings to the world stage. And you`ll be able to see clean through any of the exaggerations of Bitcoin and blockchain, whether it be good or bad exaggerations.

I was introduced to Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos, ( author and arguably the leading expert in the cryptocurrency space) by reading his book THE INTERNET OF MONEY (a very affordable book). I highly recommend this book as mandatory reading. And then I read another book by Andreas titled MvASTERING BITCOIN: Programming the Open Blockchain (not a very cheap book but more than worth every penny). And immediately I said to myself, “What in the world am I doing? I need to learn how to code. Fast!”
Long story short: I took a correspondence course to learn Computer Programming. And at the same time I was able to get my hands on about 12 more books related to Bitcoin and blockchain like THE BOOK OF SATOSHI by Phil Champagne, THE BUSINESS BLOCKCHAIN by William Mougayar, BLOCKCHAIN AND THE LAW: The Rule of Code by De Filippi & Wright, just to name a few.
It may not apparent to you, but did you notice that when I mentioned “free and open-source” what that means that you need no ones “permission” or authority to create a Bitcoin or blockchain related product or app (application)? What I'm trying to tell you, and show you is that you (yes, YOU) now have the power and authority to create your own currency, or app that if adopted by others would have “real” value because people choose to give it value if it solves a problem. Use you mind and create a concept that can solve problems that are plaguing us and our communities. This is true value. There`s a global open-source community ready to embrace you and your ideas into the fold. The only requirement is that you learn some kind of computer coding language. Your race doesn't matter, nor your religion, nor your nationality. It is now time to rise up out of your condition. It starts first in your mind. Make a decision, and commit. After commitment the entire universe will conspire with you.
I `ve dedicated to educating fellow prisoners about this new technology. Now see about it for yourself. It cannot be overstated that this knowledge be mandatory for everyone and anyone that comes from poverty stricken communities. And for all organizations seeking economic equality for all. We now hold the Golden Key. The only thing left is to awaken out of your sleep.
